We are seeking an experienced, solution-oriented and results-driven Product Marketing Director to join the Electrification Products Division in Egypt. The Electrification Products Division serves electric utilities, as well as gas and water utilities and industrial and commercial customers, with a wide range of products and services to facilitate power generation, transmission and distribution. Key technologies include medium-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers for a range of current ratings and voltage levels, power, distribution, traction and other special transformers, as well as products to help transmit and distribute electricity efficiently and reliably, maintain power quality as well as control and manage electrical networks.
The PMD is responsible for the development of profitable and sustainable sales for the complete EPMV portfolio in Egypt and Central Africa (domestic sales reporting bottom line responsibility), implementing the BU sales and marketing strategy and monitoring how target markets respond to the sales and marketing efforts while providing appropriate feedback.
The PMD is the interface to the Global PGs when it comes to market related discussions, negotiations and is an integral part of the GMU.
The PMD is responsible for the development of the local resources, ensuring all personnel have appropriate competences / knowledge of products, internal tools and processesResponsible for the Total Demand market of EPMV, including third party sales, internal sales and channels. Work together with Territory Sales & Marketing, Global Marketing Unit and MarComm for planning and implementation of customer events / trade shows in the Country as well as the overall sales support material (brochures, catalogues, price lists, sales guides and Customer arguments)Participate in the demand side budget process including OCS, representing the global BU interface for the given local Market.Coordinate and support the factories sales and marketing activities in the Country.
In line with LSM Sales Team strategy, manage and develop appropriate relationships with customers and the key accounts in the given Country.
Initiate and drive the capture team process for key pursuits and manage and coordinate the Risk review processAssure proposals are developed and approved to ensure negotiations can proceed on time via the LSM Team in a given Country
Ideally you’ll hold Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, with from five to ten years experience covering Medium Voltage Preferably with ABB involved in the sales tools and processes of Medium Voltage sales. Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required. French language will be an advantage in this role
