Job description
Raw Material Buyer
Develop and implement purchasing plans for assigned products, consistent with Category or
Regional Procurement plans.
Timely find sources for new raw materials if not performed by Category Managers
Apply agreements for the site in conformance with global strategy for raw materials on TCO basis
Support inventory management decisions in conjunction with supply chain eg. Large/strategic purchases, crops etc.
Implement local savings initiatives and create local savings opportunities
Market analysis identify alternate suppliers for local products
Supplier Management
Select and Support suppliers/RM combinations approval process
Support the timely follow-up on planning, quality and accounts payable escalations ensuring appropriate commercial relations with the supply base
Ensure security of supply (continuous monitoring and management of contract coverage to achieve a smooth flow of supply and adherence to materials planning requirements).
Manage suppliers and their performance (supplier rating). Resolve major issues with suppliers and management of supplier complaints
Data Management & Reporting
Keep all global and local systems (ERP) up to date with conditions, lead times, preferred contracts, preferred suppliers, expiration dates, replacement costs/future pricing, visit reports etc (any data required for placing a complete PO )
Academic Background
Bachelor level – Local Procurement or Commercial diploma
Professional Experience
1-3 Years Of Procurement Experience Preferred
Experience in international enivronment a plus
Technical Skills
Fluent english, Local Language essential
Understanding of procurement processes and systems
Understanding of the relevant supply market knowledge of IMS category or technical background of Raw Materials
Knowledge of supply chain processes and tools
Communication skills
System and data management skills; especially Excel and SAP Procurement modules & related systems

Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation and history.
Identifies and maintains lists of eligible vendors and selects vendor to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality and delivery date and orders
Reconciles and processes invoices/requests for payments against requisitions.
Qualifications required:

Job description
– Follow up & analyse the purchasing orders of packaging material, seeds and chemicals whether local or overseas to guarantee delivery in time in full and in the proper pricing range in addition to compliance to supplier payment terms as per contract.
– Develop a list of authorized suppliers and contractors in all projects fields that are being implemented in site to guarantee the availability of a good range of qualified suppliers and contractors and ensure the list is continuously updated & supported by new vendors.
– Issue the purchase order and the relevant contracts for the projects and follow up projects implementation phases in accordance to the contract to guarantee contractors/ vendors commitment as well as compliance to their payment terms as per contract.
– Coordinate with the customs clearance for all relevant shipments to guarantee delivery in a minimal time with no extra cost.
– Apply the periodic supplier evaluation and continuously update the suppliers list with new members to ensure competition and the maximum benefit for the organization in addition to encouraging and supporting the high performance suppliers.
– Adapt to the changes in business or goods delivery plans in a way to avoid business or supplier interruption.
– Liaise with planning and warehouse teams to determine order levels over or low stock levels.
– Attend all team meetings and work closely on elevating team performance through experience exchange and the provision of all the required resources.
Academic and professional qualifications:
– Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, commerce or engineering
– 1-2 years relevant experience in Purchasing
– Fluent English
